- The Winery
The Douro Wine Devotion winery is located at Quinta do Castelinho, where the grapes from this estate and those from Quinta do Cerro da Nora are vinified.
Extended and completely remodeled in 2005, the winery is now endowed with the latest technology for the production of high quality wines, combining the benefits of traditional production, with the accuracy and control allowed by the business latest innovations.
It is equipped with 7 stainless steel lagars, with controlled temperature, allowing optimum monitoring of fermentations, combined with “mechanical feet”, which simulates the traditional foot treading, enabling optimal extraction of the molecules that give color, aroma and body to wine.
Along with the winemaking equipment, Douro Wine Devotion winery at Quinta do Castelinho, also has a wine storage and aging capacity of around 750.000L, spread over stainless steel tanks, casks, vats and French oak casks, where DOC Douro and Port wines here produced are allowed to age and mature.

Quinta do Castelinho is an iconic property of the Douro, as referenced in the map of the Baron of Forrester in 1848. In 1903, the winemaker Batalha Reis writes in the journal O Commercio do Porto: "... the wine from Castellinho (...) has, when new, two characteristic that individualize this wine and imprint qualities of high value: a balsamic scent that intoxicates and a dry metalic sui generis background ... ". Years later, a new record is found in the book O Douro written by Manuel Monteiro (1911), accompanied by a photography of the time: "... where the nucleus of the famous Quinta do Castellinho is, whose name one reads in bold, bulging, huge characteres, over the whitewashed noble house with a hipped roof."
